What We Believe
Image Church is a non-denominational, Spirit-led, Bible-teaching church standing within historic Protestant Christianity and the ancient Christian faith.
1. Scripture
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that Scripture is the inspired, authoritative, sufficient, and trustworthy Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for Christian faith, doctrine, worship, and life because God has spoken through His prophets and apostles, and all teaching must be tested by His Word. Scripture is “God-breathed” and profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness, so the people of God may be equipped for every good work. 2. God
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that there is one true and living God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, sovereign, eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, perfectly good, just, loving, and worthy of all worship. He created all things from nothing, sustains all things by His power, and rules over all things according to His wise and holy will. 3. Humanity and Sin
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that human beings are created in the image of God and therefore possess dignity, value, and moral responsibility. Yet through Adam’s sin, humanity fell into corruption, guilt, death, and separation from God. All people are sinners by nature and by choice, unable to save themselves and in need of God’s grace. Sin affects our desires, minds, wills, relationships, and worship, but the image of God is defaced, not erased. 4. Jesus Christ
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, revealed the Father, fulfilled the Law, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and reigns as Lord. 5. Salvation
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone. Sinners are justified before God not by their works, religious efforts, or moral performance, but by trusting in Jesus Christ and His finished work. True faith receives Christ, rests in His righteousness, and produces repentance, obedience, and good works as the fruit of salvation, not the basis of it. 6. The Holy Spirit
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that the Holy Spirit is fully God, the third Person of the Trinity, sent by the Father and the Son to glorify Christ and apply the work of salvation to God’s people. The Spirit convicts the world of sin, gives new birth, indwells believers, assures them of adoption, sanctifies them, gives spiritual gifts, empowers witness, and produces Christlike character. 7. The Church
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that the church is the people of God, the body of Christ, and the temple of the Holy Spirit, made up of all true believers in Jesus Christ. The local church gathers for worship, the preaching of Scripture, prayer, baptism, the Lord’s Supper, fellowship, discipleship, discipline, care, mission, and the making of disciples. Christ is the head of the church, and pastors/elders and deacons serve under His authority for the building up of the body. 8. Baptism and Communion
Historic Protestant Christianity teaches that baptism and communion are ordinances or sacraments instituted by Christ for His church. Baptism is the sign of entrance into the visible covenant community and publicly identifies believers with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is the regular meal of remembrance, proclamation, fellowship, and spiritual nourishment in which the church remembers Christ’s body given and blood shed for sinners. These practices do not save by mere outward performance, but they visibly proclaim and confirm the Gospel to those who receive them by faith. The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,

In the historic creeds, the word “catholic” means universal. It refers to the one worldwide church of Jesus Christ, not specifically to the Roman Catholic Church.

Bobby Conway
Bobby Conway is the founding Lead Pastor of Image Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also the founder and host of One Minute Apologist, a YouTube ministry that provides credible answers to curious questions, which is now Christianity Still Makes Sense.
Bobby earned his Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, his Doctor of Ministry in apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary, and his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Birmingham in England. He is the author of several books, including Hell, Rob Bell and What Happens When People Die, The Fifth Gospel, Doubting Toward Faith, Does Christianity Still Make Sense?, and Does God Exist and 51 Other Compelling Questions About God and the Bible.
At Image Church, Bobby’s primary role is overseeing the vision of the church, developing the staff, discipling leaders, and overseeing the teaching ministries. Bobby and Heather have been married since 1996. They have two grown children, Haley and Dawson, a son-in-law, Gideon, a daughter-in-law, Brooke, and twin grandsons, August and Elliot.

Tim Hull
Tim Hull serves as the Executive Pastor at Image Church. He has been married to his wife, Jen, since 2007, and they have two children, Maddox and Gretchen.
Tim has been walking with Jesus since he was twelve years old and has served in professional ministry since graduating high school in 2000. Over the years, he has served in a variety of roles, including Community Apologist, Worship and Production Assistant, Building and Grounds Manager, Youth Pastor, Social Media Director, and more.
At Image Church, Tim’s primary focus is discipling the staff and shaping the weekend worship experience by presenting the truth of the Gospel through the arts, worship, the preaching of the Word, and the gifts of God’s people. His passion is to serve the church by helping create worship gatherings that are thoughtful, faithful, and centered on Jesus. He also enjoys meeting with Image Church members to walk with them on their faith journey. If you would like to meet with Tim for any reason, he is excited and willing to do so.

Dawson Conway
Dawson Conway serves as a Teaching Pastor at Image Church and oversees the student ministry. He is committed to helping students develop a biblical worldview and a thoughtful understanding of the Christian faith.
Dawson has a particular interest in apologetics and theology and enjoys teaching and equipping others to engage Scripture with clarity and confidence. Through his ministry, he seeks to help students grow in their love for God, their understanding of the Gospel, and their ability to follow Jesus faithfully in everyday life.

Heather Conway
Heather Conway serves as the Women’s Minister at Image Church. She has been married to her husband, Bobby, since 1996, and together they have spent more than 30 years serving in ministry while building a life centered on faith and family. They have two grown children, Haley and Dawson, a son-in-law, Gideon, a daughter-in-law, Brooke, and twin grandsons, August and Elliot.
Heather is the co-founder of Image Church and is passionate about helping women flourish spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and physically. She is also a certified holistic nutritionist and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Nutrition from the University of Central Arkansas. For nearly a decade, she and Bobby served as speakers for FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember marriage conferences, where they encouraged and equipped couples across the country with practical, biblical principles for building healthy, God-honoring marriages.
Whether she is teaching, counseling, or walking alongside others in their faith journey, Heather’s greatest desire is to help people experience the hope, healing, and freedom found in Christ. She loves creating spaces where women feel seen, known, encouraged, and equipped to grow in their relationship with God.
When she is not serving in ministry, Heather enjoys being “Coco” to her grandsons, spending time with family and friends, traveling, chasing sunsets, relaxing at the beach, enjoying God’s creation, listening to live music, and sharing meaningful conversations over coffee.

Emeline Bellaire
Emeline Bellaire serves as the Children’s Ministry Director at Image Church. She has been married to her husband, Stephen, since 2019, and they have three children.
Emeline grew up in a ministry family and has always had a heart to serve the local church. She studied Music and Worship at Liberty University and brings a love for both ministry and discipleship to her role with Image Kids. She also loves apologetics and is passionate about defending historic Christianity.
In her free time, Emeline enjoys reading, writing, crocheting, and having coffee with friends.

Heather Perez
Heather Perez serves as the Administrative Coordinator at Image Church, where she combines her love for organization, creativity, and people to support the ministry in a variety of ways. Her role includes coordinating events, managing communications, supporting ministry leaders, and helping with the many behind-the-scenes details that keep things running smoothly.
Heather loves finding ways to make ministry more effective so the team can focus on caring for people and sharing the hope of Jesus. She sees herself as a builder behind the scenes, organizing details, creating welcoming experiences, and equipping others to focus on what matters most: loving people and pointing them to Jesus.
When she is not serving at church, Heather enjoys planning her next travel adventure, spending time with family and friends, discovering great restaurants, and making memories with her grandchildren. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve at Image Church and to use the gifts God has given her to help people feel welcomed, connected, and encouraged.

Aaron Hull
Aaron Hull serves as the Technical Director at Image Church and helps oversee social media. His primary responsibilities include leading the technical side of Sunday morning operations and helping ensure seamless coordination with the tech team.
Aaron also serves as a Shift Manager at K1 Speed in Concord, a go-kart track that provides an exciting experience for speed enthusiasts. His leadership experience and attention to detail help him serve the church by supporting the behind-the-scenes systems that make worship gatherings possible.

Denise Young
Denise Young serves as the Prayer Team Leader and Discipleship Counselor at Image Church. She walks alongside others through life’s valleys and mountaintops, offering biblical discipleship and prayer as pathways to healing and growth.
With a rich background in psychology, youth ministry, and more than two decades of pouring into the lives of others, Denise brings both wisdom and warmth to her ministry. Her passion for persistent prayer is not merely a practice, but a lifeline she extends to help transform hearts, homes, and communities.
Denise desires to help people encounter the care of Christ through prayer, biblical encouragement, and faithful discipleship.
