Our Story

Bobby & heather conway

While living in Southern California during Covid-19 quarantine Bobby and Heather Conway, along with their two kids, Haley and Dawson, found themselves having many family conversations about what the church needs to look like in a post Covid-19 world. It’s not that Bobby saw himself pastoring, no, the last thing the Conway’s saw themselves doing again was pastoring, let alone planting a church. As far as they were concerned, they’d been there/done that. After years of serving a local church and experiencing total burnout and disillusionment they relocated back to Bobby’s home state of California to reflect, heal, and reimagine a future together. Following a season of great healing, coupled by a series of providential circumstances God began to put a fire back in their hearts for the local church and yes, even church planting. After several confirming God moments, like having Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (the church where Bobby became a Christian) plant them, the Conway’s were ready to surrender again to God’s call on their life to plant another Gospel centered church, yet this time with an emphasis on healing racial tensions, helping those with mental health issues, and preparing generation next to engage the world with a Christian worldview. Each of these issues emerged as crucial issues for the church to address during quarantine for which the Conway’s hope to show how the Gospel can answer our greatest cultural issues.
